Matthew Phillips has followed his passion for music and shared it with the world.
After years of playing in cover bands the creative impulse won out and 2003’s Never Far From Mind was the result. The instrumental album has shades of different genres of music all wrapped up in a Rock context. Whether it’s the Metal of the title track, progressive elements of Desert Wind, or the accessible sounds of Morning Light and On Second Thought, melody is ever present.
The third album is expected to be released in the Winter of 2021. Stay tuned.

The initial vision for 2012’s On Second Thought was going to be an all out heavy metal instrumental assault. The tracks Revolution Drive and The Eternal Within fulfill that vision but the album is again a diverse Rock collection that draws influence from Blues, Country, Jazz, Prog and more.
